چکیده
Objectives: There is an increased interest in quadriceps tendon autograft for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction the adolescent population. It has emerged as a promising graft option that can be harvested with bone-block (BB) or all soft tissue (AST). The preferred remains controversial there evidence bone to healing stronger and faster, while AST grafts reportedly have lower complication rate. purpose of this study report early clinical outcomes following ACL BB versus We hypothesized both techniques would provide similar outcomes. Methods: A retrospective case-controlled patients under 20 years age who underwent arthroscopic utilizing from September 2017 2021 was conducted. cohort divided two groups: Group 1 included 35 autograft. 2 58 Data collected demographics, range motion, measurements, concomitant procedures, perioperative complications arthrofibrosis rate, defined reoperation lysis adhesions. Knee strength objectively recorded at 3 months postoperatively using isokinetic dynamometer (Humac, CSMI USA, Stoughton, MA, USA) used calculate Limb Symmetry Index (LSI), ratio between involved limb uninvolved expressed percentage. Patient reported include International Documentation Committee (IKDC) Anterior Cruciate Ligament Return Sport After Injury (ACL-RSI) scale. Statistical analyses were then performed compare groups. Results: total 93 analysis, mean 15.9 (range 10-20) follow-up 17 (ranged 25). no difference control groups regarding (p=0.10), BMI (p=0.70), procedures (p=0.39), but predominance females group (bone block) (64.9% vs 43.3%, p=0.02). 1(bone associated higher rate odds 3.98 (7/35 20% 3/58 5%, p=0.02) LSI (55.6% 68.4%, p=0.01) postoperatively. overall greater femur width (9.47 9.19, p=0.02), length (69.85 65.12, p=0.01). Logistic regression found (p=0.03) extension deficit (p=0.01) only risk factors arthrofibrosis. Patients scores than (all tissue), measured by IKDC 63.94 75.27 49.55 63.25 Conclusions: Comparative analysis block population demonstrates QT 4 times requiring operative intervention If surgeons opted population, our findings suggest rehabilitation program focus on restoration full knee should implemented order avoid

Background: Good clinical outcome and return to sport and daily functions after anatomical arthroscopic anteriorcruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is goal standard in this surgery. but to date, there are different challengingissues between orthopedic surgeons regarding graft selection and surgical techniques. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the patients who underwent anatomical arthrosc...

متن کاملMR Imaging Findings of Patellar Tendon after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Bone-Tendon-Bone Autograft
reconstruction by means of bone-patellar-bone (BTB) autografting is an increasingly popular procedure for the stabillization of ACL-deficient knee (1, 2). The central one-third of the patellar tendon and bony plugs are excised together to increase strength, durability and elasticity (3, 4) and the donor site is allowed to heal by primary intensification. The outcome of ACL reconstruction, using...
متن کاملQuadriceps tendon-patellar bone autograft for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: a technical note.
The quadriceps tendon autograft can be used for primary and revision anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Despite several successful clinical reports, graft fixation issues remain, and the ideal technique for fixation continues to be controversial. We present a technique of ACL reconstruction with quadriceps tendon autograft (QTA) using a patellar bone block. The tendon end is fixed...
متن کاملDynamic Assessment in Patients Following Bone-Patellar Tendon-Bone Autograft Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction§
BACKGROUND The knee's passive movement is insufficient to determine function in patients following ACL reconstruction. HYPOTHESIS We hypothesize that there are kinematic differences in the lower extremities (LE) during stair climbing and ground level walking following ACL surgery between the intact and reconstructed sides. STUDY DESIGN This was a retrospective cohort study. Eleven patients ...
